This poem is an apostrophe, and by that I don’t mean a punctuation mark!
Excuse me if you already know this!😃 In grammar, apostrophes either indicate possession, or they stand in for missing letters . As literary devices, apostrophes also address something missing. That can be because that something is dead, absent, or inanimate. But the writing talks to the something as if it is real and present. Here’s a neat summary. Also here and here. This is a link to some information about ekphrastic poetry.
I just like how relaxed the people looked here, living their best lives. (More on Merrymakers In an Inn in the Source link in the caption.) I wanted to reach out and tell them so, and in the kind of rhyme they would have appreciated.

To The People In This Painting
There is nothing like a drop of wine
a little song, a little rhyme
a bit of dancing from time to time!
For what are basic human needs?
A place to be. A place to feed.
Safe company. Some self-esteem.
To be the best we can possibly be.
You share your lives in song and wine.
Cheers to you! Love, a future time.
